The Local GP Out of Hours Service and NHS Wales now share this easy to remember contact number 111.

The out of hours service is available outside the surgery opening hours from 6:30pm until 8:00am on telephone number 111 for urgent care, information and advice when the concern is not life threatening.

This number is not a replacement for 999, and those with life-threatening emergencies should continue to call 999 when necessary. Severe bleeding, chest pain, significant difficulty breathing and signs of a stroke constitute an emergency.

Please refrain from asking to see a Doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
